<story> Eine Stadt. </story>
<story> One city. Two families that are hating each other. The Montagues and the Capulets. A civil war is raging among these two "gangs". The tragedy, however, really takes its course, as Romeo and Juliet, who each belong to one of the rival "houses" are falling in love with each other, leading to a chain of misunderstandings between the "warlords" and entailing a new trail of blood. The roominstallation is conceptually based on the this inability of human interaction. 150 chairs are facing 150 chairs. In rank and file. Blood red. A "world" order in which each and everyone one has his/her/its rightful place. Without any romantic balcony or opulent masquerade. Romeo and Juliet's attempt to break up these deadlocked rows by the force of their love causes confusion. The "small" bourgeois world is beginning to totter. As an image of despair and the (im)mortal love it is finally "windowed to the side" by Romeo. That this inevitably leads to the death of the lovers, has become a part of "world" literature (in black and white) a long time ago. </story>
